Body

WHEREAS, the Sheriff Department has surplus personal property, to wit a Dynavision Model 910 x-ray scanner, serial number 9102000702, that has become unusable; and,

 

WHEREAS, by means of a trade-in, the Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a contract for the purchase of one Dynavision Model 6040 x-ray scanner for use by the Sheriff's department to Control Screening of Hawthorn Wood, IL, at a cost not to exceed $21,409.00, under an existing government contract of the State of Texas; and,

 

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such award in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the award to the County Legislature for approval; and,

WHEREAS, transfers are necessary in order to fund this expenditure; and,

 

WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfers; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of the Dynavision 910 x-ray scanner, by way of trade-in to Control Screening of Hawthorn Wood, IL, in the amount of $1,500.00; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
