A RESOLUTION awarding a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one (1) twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of certified lawn mower tractor maintenance and repair services for John Deere equipment for use by the various County departments to Deere & Company of Cary, NC, as a sole source purchase.

INTRODUCED BY Charlie Franklin, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, various County departments have a continuing need for lawn mower tractor maintenance and repair services for their John Deere equipment; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984 the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract for the furnishing of these services be awarded to Deere & Company of Cary, NC, as a sole source purchase; and,

 

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, which is estimated for 2026 to be $60,000.00; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Interim Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award and any extension; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
