IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with Renaissance West for the Women in Recovery Program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $22,850.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11957, November 24, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, Renaissance West's Women in Recovery program provides substance abuse treatment for pregnant and postpartum women and allows the women to bring their children into residential treatment with them to prevent the separation of mothers from their children; and, WHEREAS, Renaissance West (Women in Recovery) has requested $22,850.00 to secure the continuation of this federally-funded program; and, WHEREAS, these funds will be used as the local match to federal funds in the amount of $68,551.00 for the Women In Recovery program; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Renaissance West for the Women in Recovery program; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
