Body
WHEREAS, a water faucet left running over the weekend of December 10-12, 1999, resulted in serious flooding and water damage to floors 6 through 9 of the Jackson County Courthouse in Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, the County's loss is covered by insurance but the insurance is subject to a $100,000 deductible; and,
WHEREAS, in order to make funding available to the Facilities Management Department to repair the damage not covered by insurance, a transfer within the 1999 General Fund is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made.
