BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

A 21 ± acre tract of land generally located 1/4 of a mile west of Burnley Road on the south side of Allen Road and more specifically described as:
A TRACT OF LAND IN THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 50, RANGE 30, IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID SECTION 16; THENCE SOUTH 88°26'16" WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER SECTION A DISTANCE OF 1458.00 FEET TO A POINT NORTH 88°26'12" EAST A DISTANCE OF 1040.69 FEET FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF EMAR ACRES, A SUBDIVISION IN SAID COUNTY AND STATE; THENCE SOUTH 0°31'42" WEST ALONG A LINE 1040 FEET EAST OF, AS MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO, THE EAST LINE OF EMAR ACRES A DISTANCE OF 880.38 FEET TO A POINT ON THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 26 2/3 ACRES OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 16; THENCE SOUTH 88°25'45" WEST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE A DISTANCE OF 1040.70 FEET TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF EMAR ACRES; THENCE NORTH 0°31'42" EAST ALONG THE EAST LINE OF EMAR ACRES A DISTANCE OF 880.54 FEET (PLAT READS N 0°30'40" E 880.03 FEET) TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THEREOF; THENCE NORTH 88°26'16" EAST A DISTANCE OF 1040.69 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Emar Acres-Fourth Plat," creating a 4-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ephraim Brown (RZ-2000-197), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommend approval of this application in a public hearing on July 20, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
