Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Ordinance # 3400, dated August 18, 2003, transfer and appropriate funds as per the grant received by the Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District for the Truman Sports Complex Recycling Project; and,
WHEREAS, the County desires to extend the grant, for a six month period from July 1, 2004 through December 30, 2004 as outlined in the attached letter dated August 18, 2004, and the extension would be accomplished at no additional cost to the County; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the six month extension to the Truman Sports Complex Recycling Project grant awarded by the Mid-America Regional Council Sold Waste Management District is approved and the Resource Conservation Coordinator is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
