Body
WHEREAS, the County's in need of a feasibility study to identify and clarify building preservation requirements, space programming, and budget estimating, in connection with the proposed restoration of the Jackson County Courthouse on the Square in Independence; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund the cost of this study, an appropriation is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her proposed 1997 Jackson County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 General Fund:
