Title
A RESOLUTION awarding a contract for the furnishing of vehicles for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Shawnee Mission Ford of Shawnee, KS, under the terms and conditions of the 2007 model year Kansas City Metro Vehicle Bid, IFB No. 2754-0-2006/RP of the Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing issued by the City of Olathe, KS, an existing government contract, at an actual cost to the County of $56,359.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for vehicles for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1030.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchases under the terms and conditions of 2007 model year Kansas City Metro Vehicle Bid, IFB No. 2754-0-2006/RP of the Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing issued by the City of Olathe, KS, an existing government contract; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1030.04, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires, that for any such purchase in excess of $25,000, the Director of Finance and Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the following purchases:

1-1 ton cab & chassis Shawnee Mission Ford $56,359.00
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award under the existing government contracts be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract thereby made.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
