Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney desires on-line access to a database maintained by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to view names and addresses of last known employers; and,
WHEREAS, this information is needed to aid in the serving of petitions for collection of delinquent state taxes and to locate employers for wage garnishment purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Employment Security, has proposed an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereby the Department will allow on-line access to the data; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Employment Security; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
