Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County has received a proposal from Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group and the McDaniel, Hazley Group, Inc., to perform a comprehensive survey of Jackson County employees regarding their attitudes and perceptions about and their need for employee benefits; and,
WHEREAS, as a part of their proposal, the firms would also make an informational presentation to employees, regarding currently available benefits; and,
WHEREAS, under this proposal, these services would be provided at no cost to the County, but the firms would be authorized to make available to employees, at the employees' sole cost, certain insurance products underwritten by a major carrier to be approved by the County; and,
WHEREAS, the acceptance of this proposal is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Professional Services Agreement adequately sets out the rights and obligations of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Professional Services Agreement with Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group and the McDaniel, Hazley Group, Inc.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
