Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for armored car service; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing solicited bids on invitation to bid No. 25057, but received no response; and,
WHEREAS, the Director thereafter solicited quotations for this service and received two responses; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts with an option to extend for an additional period of twelve months, to Garda/PSI Armored of Kansas City, KS, and Dunbar Armored of Hunt Valley, MD, in the estimated aggregate amount of $24,120; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
