Body
WHEREAS, the County, the City of Blue Springs, and Blue Springs School District No. 4 have agreed to equally share all costs incurred for the re-design and construction of North-South Liggett Road, Project No. 3053; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the execution of an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, whereunder the District will pay all consulting costs and the City and County will reimburse the District in equal shares for two-thirds (2/3) of the total roadway re-design costs and the County will be responsible for roadway construction inspection and the City and the District will pay the County in equal shares for two-thirds (2/3) of the total costs of construction based on bids received; and,
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the County's share of this project will be approximately $300,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to enter into the attached Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Blue Springs, Blue Springs School District No. 4, in conjunction with improvements to North-South Liggett Road, Project No. 3053.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
