AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette) a certain 10 ± acre tract, for a two-lot residential subdivision.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 10 ± acres are located at the southwest corner of Galvin Road, and Atherton-Sibley Road and specifically described as all that part of the east half of the north 20 acres of the east half of the northwest quarter of Section 33, Township 51, Range 30, more particularly described as:

 

Description: Commencing at the northeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 33; thence south 03̊27'13" west along the east line of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 33 a distance of 659.01 feet; thence north 87̊21'24" west parallel to the north line of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 33 a distance of 660.33 feet; thence north 03̊25'59" east a distance of 659.01 feet to a point on the north line of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 33; thence south 87̊21'24" east along the north line of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 33 a distance of 660.56 feet to the Point of Beginning, aka 29813 Atherton-Sibley Road.

                     

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Olivia Coatney (RZ-2008-453), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on May 15, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
