Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Votec Corporation of San Diego, CA, for the furnishing of software maintenance for use by the Jackson County Election Board; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that it not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Votec Corporation of San Diego, CA is the only known supplier of maintenance for the software involved needed; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Votec Corporation of San Diego, CA, for the furnishing of software maintenance for the Jackson County Election Board, in an amount not to exceed $16,328.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract thereby made...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
