AN ORDINANCE appropriating $636,425.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2026 Park Fund for construction services provided by Hartline Construction of North Kansas City, MO for use by the Parks + Rec Department.

Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has need for the construction of a new Natural Resource Storage Building to be located at the Fleming Park Operations Center; and,
WHEREAS, the new structure will replace the obsolete Natural Resource Building located in Fleming Park; and,
WHEREAS, the needed building will provide storage and accommodate heavy equipment, provide a climate-controlled chemical storage room, and storage space for other materials needed for park maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, the construction of the metal building on a concrete slab will be completed by Hartline Construction of North Kansas City, MO, under an existing term and supply contract; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds within the 2026 Park Fund is required to place the necessary funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:
