Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16492, dated January 27, 2008, the Jackson County Legislature did authorize the County Executive to enter into agreements with certain outside agencies which engage in anti-drug treatment activities and purposes, including Kansas City Community Center; and,
WHEREAS, Kansas City Community Center was awarded $138,952.00 in 2008, and services were provided as agreed; and,
WHEREAS, several invoices for 2008 services were not paid during the 2008 fiscal year, and COMBAT staff desires to pay these invoices; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to pay these invoices; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Kansas City Community Center, at a cost to the County not to exceed $30,160.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
