Body

 WHEREAS, on February 14, 2024, a shooting occurred near Union Station during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Championship Parade, injuring Jenipher Cabrera, a college student who was attending the parade with her family; and,

 

WHEREAS, amidst the chaos and danger, John Krough demonstrated exceptional bravery and selflessness by immediately rushing to aid Jenipher Cabrera until emergency help arrived; and,

 

WHEREAS, John Krough's quick thinking, courage, and decisive actions played a crucial role in stabilizing the situation and providing assistance to Jenipher Cabrera during a critical moment of need; and,

 

WHEREAS, John Krough's unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others exemplifies the highest ideals of heroism and altruism; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper for this body to recognize and honor individuals like John Krough, whose extraordinary acts of bravery and compassion serve as an inspiration to us all; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby recognizes and commends John Krough for his exceptional bravery, selflessness, and compassionate actions, and extends its deepest gratitude for his service to our community.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
