IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to GB (General Business), a certain 2.4 + acre tract. Intro ORDINANCE 2929, July 6, 1999 Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "GB" (General Business) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District GB a tract of land described as follows: Legal Description: All of the North Half, Southwest Quarter, Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 49, Range 31, Jackson County, Missouri, lying between the Northeasterly right-of-way line of Eastbound U.S. Highway Number 40 and the Southwesterly right-of-way line of Westbound U.S. Highway Number 40 and West of the West right-of-way line of Bowling Road being described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner, Southeast Quarter, said Section 34, Township 49, Range 31; thence North 0 degrees 17 minutes 35 seconds West along the West line of said Southeast Quarter, 1,354.67 feet to the Northwest corner, Southwest Quarter, Southeast Quarter, said Section 34, Township 49, Range 31; thence North 89 degrees 42 minutes 41 seconds East along the North line of said Southwest Quarter Southeast Quarter, 762.11 feet to the point of beginning of the tract to be described herein; thence North 89 degrees 42 minutes 41 seconds East continuing along said line 254.26 feet to the Southwesterly right-of-way line 30.00 feet Southwest of and parallel with the centerline thereof, 402.75 feet to the West right-of-way line 40.00 feet West of and right-of-way line of Eastbound U.S. Highway Number 40; thence north 43 degrees 36 minutes 31 seconds West along said Northeasterly right-of-way line 65.00 feet Northeast of and parallel with the centerline thereof, 758.41 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Mildred Crowder (RZ-98-139), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission, unanimously recommended approval of this application in public hearings on December 17, 1998 and June 17, 1999, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning. Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
