AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 20 ± acre tract.

 Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:

Description:  The 20 ± acres are approximately 1/4 of a mile east of Union School Road on the north side of Yocum Road and specifically described as:

 

The E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, Township 50 North, Range 31 West, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the SE corner of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, said point being 1317.95 feet, N87̊42'10"W from the SE corner of the NW 1/4 of Section 16; thence along the South line of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, N87̊42'10"W, 658.98 feet to the SW corner of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of Section 16; thence along the West line of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, N02̊16'11"E, 1328.51 feet to the NW corner of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16; thence along the North line of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, S87̊46'18"E, 658.45 feet to the NE corner of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16; thence along the East line of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 16, S02̊14'49"W, 1329.30 feet to the SE corner of the E ½ of the SW 1/4 of Section 16, said point being the point of beginning.  Containing 20.10 acres, aka 19806 and 19902 Yocum Road.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Robert Sims ( RZ-2004-331), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on January 15, 2004, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
