Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 50-96 for the furnishing of dump bodies, hydraulics, sand spreaders and snow plows for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

Boulevard Truck Equipment $110,680.00
Kansas City (Clay County), MO
Knapheide Truck Equipment $129,790.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Scherer Truck Equipment $130,500.00
Riverside, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Scherer Truck Equipment, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting bid specifications; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1996 Special Road and Bridge Fund is necessary to accomplish this award; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1996 Special Road and Bridge Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
