Body
WHEREAS, each year Kansas University holds relays for outstanding athletes excelling in track, consisting of students in high school, college, and universities, as well as unattached athletes; and,
WHEREAS, Lee's Summit High School senior Amy Wiseman competed in Kansas University's 1997 Relays and placed first in both the mile and two-mile runs; and,
WHEREAS, Amy's time in the two-mile run of 10:44.6 gained her the Kansas Relays high school women's record in that event; and,
WHEREAS, Kansas University honored Amy for this outstanding accomplishment by naming her its outstanding female athlete in the relays; and,
WHEREAS, Amy deserves the highest of praise for her hard work and perseverance in striving for excellence in the sport of track and for representing the Lee's Summit Tigers in her athletic endeavors; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Lee's Summit High School track star Amy Wiseman upon being named the Kansas University Relays outstanding female athlete...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
