Body
WHEREAS, Raytown School District superintendent, Dr. Allan Markley, was recently honored by the Missouri School Public Relations Association, as Administrator of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Markley's nomination for this award noted his ability to connect community groups, rally citizens for a cause, and keep open lines of communication; and,
WHEREAS, this award is given annually by school public relations leaders, and was presented to Dr. Markley at the annual Missouri Association of School Administrators spring conference; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Markley joined the Raytown School district in 2008 after serving as superintendent in the Sparta and Logan-Rogersville districts in Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Markley earned his doctorate from St. Louis University in 2003; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Markley's wife Kathy and their three sons, Seth, Josh, and Luke, are justifiably proud of his award; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Dr. Allan Markley on the occasion of his receipt of the prestigious honor of being named Administrator of the Year.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
