Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 74-99 for the furnishing of police motorcycles for use by the Sheriff s Department; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Blue Springs Harley Davidson of Blue Springs, MO, in the actual amount of $2,000.00, plus trade-ins; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of new police motorcycles has rendered the following motorcycles as surplus personal property:
One (1) Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Model FLHPI, VIN 1HD1FHR10WY631322
One (1) Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Model FLHPI, VIN 1HD1FHR16WY631333
One (1) Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Model FLHPI, VIN 1HD1FHR12WY631693
One (1) Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Model FLHPI, VIN 1HD1FHR15WY631333
and,
WHEREAS, these vehicles have become obsolete and unusable; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these motorcycles by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the identified existing motorcycles be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
