WHEREAS, by Resolution 16964 dated July 13, 2009, the legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement for Professional Architectural Design Services with Patterson Latimer Jones Brannon Denham, Inc. for design architectural services in connection with the construction of a shared animal shelter facility; and,
WHEREAS, Addendum No. 1, a copy of which is attached hereto, is necessary to cover changes in the scope of the project, and said Amendment will result in an increase to the contract in an amount not to exceed $7,250.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Addendum No. 1 to the contract with Patterson Latimer Jones Brannon Denham, Inc. for the Independence/Jackson County Animal Control Building project; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the agreement, and all addendums thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
