WHEREAS, Troy Schulte has been a committed leader and the Jackson County legislature values his expertise, responsive and knowledgeable counsel; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte successfully managed the planning and construction of our new detention facility, which is now under construction and scheduled to open in 2026; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte played a key role in overseeing the county’s property tax reassessment process; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte developed procedures and policies during a critical period of COVID; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte supervised the construction of the new Health Department Building; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte created a Master Plan for the Downtown Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Schulte was a former City Manager for the City of Kansas City, receiving numerous awards throughout his 20 plus year career; and,
WHEREAS, The Jackson County Legislature is grateful for Mr. Schulte’s years of service, extensive knowledge, and the positive impact he has had on Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes Troy Schulte for his dedicated service to the citizens of Jackson County and extends to his best wishes for his future endeavors.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
