Body
WHEREAS, St. Gabriel's School eighth grader Frank Joseph Ferro has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Frank began scouting as a Cub Scout and Weblos Scout in Pack 357, and earned both the Parvuli Dei religious award and the Arrow of Light; and,
WHEREAS, Frank is currently a member of Troop 80 and has held leadership positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Troop Scribe; and,
WHEREAS, at St. Gabriel's School, Frank is involved in the Student Council as Vice President, is a member of the Safety Patrol, is a member of the 8th grade basketball team, and is a server for mass at St. Gabriel's Church; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Frank made two full size picnic tables which were donated and used at the Lakeside Nature Center; and,
WHEREAS, Frank is a "Foxman" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, has attended camp at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for the past three years, and has earned a total of 43 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, Frank's parents, Cathleen and Frank Sr., and his siblings, Benny, Dianna and Joanna, join in Frank's celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Frank Joseph Ferro upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
