AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established by the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 18.5 ± acres from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette).

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

                     

A 18.5 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ mile east of Twyman Road on the north side of Happy Hollow Road and specifically described as follows:

 

All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 50, Range 31, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 11; thence along the South line of said Northeast Quarter, North 87 degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds West, 1322.25 feet to the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Northeast Quarter, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING: thence continuing along the South line of said Northeast Quarter, North 87 degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds West, 610.8 feet (deed=611') to the Southwest corner of a tract of land described by Document No. I-558216 in Book I-11291 at Page 751; thence along the West line of said tract of land described by Document I-558216, parallel with the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said Northeast Quarter, North 02 degrees, 18 minutes, 50 seconds East, 1321.55 feet to the Northeast Quarter; thence along the North line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 11, South 87 degrees, 59 minutes, 15 seconds East, 610.8 feet (deed=611') to the Northeast corner thereof; thence along the East line of said Quarter Quarter Section, South 02 degrees, 18 minutes, 50 seconds West, 1323.9 feet to the point of beginning, containing 18.547 acres, more or less, aka 23512 E. Happy Hollow Road.

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Earl Wayne Taff (RZ 2004-357), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on December 16, 2004, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
