WHEREAS, Margarita’s Amigos Mexican Restaurant has been a beloved Kansas City establishment for 40 years, serving authentic, flavor-packed Mexican cuisine to residents and visitors alike; and,
WHEREAS, since opening its doors on Southwest Boulevard in 1985, Margarita’s has become a cornerstone of Kansas City’s vibrant Mexican American community and a proud symbol of local entrepreneurship; and,
WHEREAS, Margarita’s dedication to high-quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and consistent service has made it a go-to gathering place for families, friends, and community members for four decades; and,
WHEREAS, through its success and longevity, Margarita’s has contributed to the cultural and economic vitality of Southwest Boulevard, an area long celebrated for its Latino heritage and hospitality; and,
WHEREAS, the restaurant’s continued growth and community spirit reflect the resilience, pride, and creativity of Kansas City’s Latino business owners and restaurateurs; and,
WHEREAS, Margarita’s celebration of 40 years in business marks not only a milestone of success but also a testament to its ongoing role in preserving and promoting Mexican culture and cuisine in our region; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature recognizes and congratulates Margarita’s Amigos Mexican Restaurant for 40 years of excellence, community service, and cultural pride; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be presented to Margarita’s Amigos Mexican Restaurant in honor of its 40th anniversary celebration on Southwest Boulevard, with sincere appreciation for its lasting contributions to Kansas City’s community and culinary landscape.

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
