Body
WHEREAS, the Urban League will be hosting the 2026 Difference Maker Fireside Chat Luncheon event on Thursday, March 19, 2026 and has submitted a request for sponsorship in the amount of $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this sponsorship will allow Jackson County the opportunity to support valuable insights into disadvantage communities throughout Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, Jackson County will receive advertising and recognition in the event program; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to issue a check to the Urban League of Greater Kansas City in the amount of $5,000.00 for the purchase of a sponsorship.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
