Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The preliminary plat "Highlands Ranch," creating a twenty-lot residential subdivision on 38.8+ acres, is hereby approved and described as follows:

Description:

 

Highlands Ranch is generally located east of the Carriage Oaks Subdivision and approximately ½ mile east of Missouri 7 Highway on the south side of Colbern Road and specifically described in Attachment to RLA.

 

Part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 48 North of the Base Line, Range 30 west of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Jackson County, Missouri, Being described more particularly as Commencing at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section; Thence S89o 28' 40"E. Along the North line of said Quarter Section a distance of 1217.89 Feet to the True Point of Beginning; Thence continuing along the North line of said Quarter Section S89o 28' 40"E a distance of 839.83 Feet to a point for corner; Thence S00o 42" 20"W a distance of 307.56 Feet to a point for corner; Thence S89o 28' 40"E a distance of 598.12 Feet to the East line of said Section 30; Thence S00o 42' 20"W along said Section line a distance of 1020.19 Feet to the Southeast Corner of the North half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; Thence N89o 38' 32"W along the South line of the North half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30 a distance of 1407.33 Feet to a point for corner; Thence N00o 34' 30"E a distance of 105.00 Feet to a point for corner, N32o 58' 11"E a distance of 79.14 Feet to a point for corner; Thence N00o 34' 30"E a distance of 425.00 Feet to a point for corner; Thence N89o 28' 40"W a distance of 70.00 Feet to a point for corner; Thence N00o 34' 30"E a distance of 735.00 Feet to the True Point of Beginning and Containing 38.804 acres; Subject to Colbern Road Right of Way.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Al Stevens requesting the creation of a twenty-lot residential subdivision and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application at its meeting of September 21, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
