Body
WHEREAS, Awesome Ambitions career and personal development program is a comprehensive program to inform, inspire, and empower high school freshman girls to make positive choices regarding their health, education, and careers; and,
WHEREAS, the career and personal development program is supported by a grant from American Family Insurance, in the amount of $2,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, Awesome Ambitions has requested anti-drug sales tax funds in the amount of $2,000.00 as a local match; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
