Body
WHEREAS, various County Departments have an ongoing need for the furnishing of replacement automotive parts and repair services for County-owned vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 25-004 for the furnishing of automotive parts and repair services for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of one hundred and forty-seven (147) notifications were distributed and viewed, and two (2) responses were received and evaluated, from the following:
BIDDER
Factory Motor Parts
Las Vegas, NV
Safety Kleen Systems
Norwell, MA
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the split award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of these parts and services to Factory Motor Parts of Las Vegas, NV, and Safety Kleen Systems of Norwell, MA; and,
WHEREAS, a spilt award is recommended to ensure continued availability and variety of needed parts from multiple sources; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and any extension, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations, with an annual estimated usage of $54,000.00.
