Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the Jackson County Legislature to hold a closed meeting on Monday, November 24, 2003, for the purpose of conducting privileged and confidential communications among itself and the Jackson County Sheriff and County Counselor pursuant to § 610.021 (9), RSMo, concerning preparation for negotiations with an employee group and closing all work product records related to those preparations.

Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Legislature desires to hold a closed meeting on Monday, November 17, 2003, during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, public notice of such closed meeting has been given to appropriate parties by inclusion of this Resolution on the regular agenda of this meeting; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of such closed meeting is to conduct privileged and confidential communications among itself and the Jackson Sheriff and County Counselor in connection with the preparation for negotiations with an employee group; and,
WHEREAS, such closed meeting is permissible under § 610.021 (9) of the Revised Statutes of Missouri; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature and the Jackson County Sheriff and County Counselor be authorized to hold a closed meeting during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Legislature on this date to discuss the matters specified in § 610.021 (9), RSMo.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
