IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a contract on Bid No. 60-96 for the furnishing of a patrol boat for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Dix Marine, Inc., of Wichita, KS, in the actual amount of $10,500.00, and approving the purchase of one O.M.C. 115 ELED 115 horsepower outboard motor from Outboard Marine Corporation of Waukegan, IL, under a State of Iowa government contract, at a cost to the County of $4,488.00, for a total amount of $14,988.00. Intro RESOLUTION # 11291, May 13, 1996 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 60-96 for the furnishing of a patrol boat for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and, WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Dix Marine, Inc., of Wichita, KS; and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Dix Marine Inc. of Wichita, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase one O.M.C. 115 ELED 115 horsepower outboard motor for said patrol boat; and, WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase of one outboard motor from Outboard Marine Corporation of Waukegan, IL, under an existing state of Iowa government contract; and, WHEREAS, Section 1064.00 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
