Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913 dated April 12, 1999, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners for the Midwest H.I.D.T.A. Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to modify certain terms of the agreement, as amended; and,
WHEREAS, the attached First Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the First Addendum, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners in regard to the Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the First Addendum to Agreement.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
