Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit High School Girls Softball team recently won its second straight state softball title; and,
WHEREAS, Lee's Summit won the Missouri Class 4 state championship game 5-0 in a match-up against Holt at the Killian Softball Complex in Springfield, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit Tigers softball team is led by Head Coach Tracy Bertoncin, Assistant Varsity Coach Lori Buatte, and Junior Varsity Coaches Shannan Booth and Kevin Pettit,; and,
WHEREAS, team members are Brittany Kendall, Ashlyn Cook, Mo Mosier, Melanie Spiwak, Sydney Graham, Sarah Josephson, Brooke Perry, Elizabeth Roccaro, Natalie Dummitt, Peyton Callaway, Raiven Sanford, Bailey Baird, Cameron Gorzney, Alexis Parker, Alexa Hiler, Alexis Reed, Alexis Crabtree, and Emily Robinson; and,
WHEREAS, Lee's Summit outscored its opponents 25-0 in its last three games, including a 7-0 win over Jefferson City in a semi-final match October 24; and,
WHEREAS, the team was led by talented group of eight seniors that put the work and sacrifices into the championship needed to be successful; and,
WHEREAS, the parents and classmates of the Lee's Summit High School Softball players are proud of the team's outstanding showing in the championship game; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates the Lee's Summit High School Girls Softball team on its second straight Missouri Class 4 State Championship win.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
