AN ORDINANCE appropriating $39,894.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti- Drug Sales Tax Fund, and authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute an Agreement with the City of Raytown, Missouri, relating to the County's providing for expenses in conjunction with the City's Here's Looking at You 2000 program at a cost to the County not to exceed $39,894.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Raytown has requested that the County provide $39,894.00 to cover expenses of the City's Here's Looking at You 2000 program; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature believes that it is appropriate to provide such funds to cover expenses to the City of Raytown; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which these funds can be turned over to the City of Raytown; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

Unappropriated Surplus $39,894 Prosecuting Attorney D.A.R.E. Program Community Crime Prevention $39,894
and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney be, and is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement in a form substantially similar to that attached, with the City of Raytown, Missouri; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make all payments including final payment of the Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive. APPROVED AS TO FORM: _______________________________
