Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant renewal in the amount of $100,500.00 by the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division for the period of July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to provide for immediate involvement of a juvenile officer in all potential and real out-of-home placements to expedite permanency for children who come to the attention of the child welfare system; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund:
