Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 14183, dated May 20, 2002, enter into a contract with BRAL Environmental Services, Inc., of Kansas City, Missouri in the estimated amount of $50,000.00, for the furnishing of hazardous materials abatement for use countywide; and,
WHEREAS, the County did issue a purchase order in the amount of $55,583.00, in connection with this contract, for the abatement of hazardous materials at the historic courthouse on the square in Independence; and,
WHEREAS, a change order is necessary to cover additional work and overtime required to complete the project and will increase the contract amount by an additional $21,000.00, for a final amount of $76,383.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing and other county officials be, and are hereby authorized to execute a change order to the purchase order in the amount of $21,000.00, and any other documents necessary to resolve all issues relating to this project involving BRAL Environmental Services; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
