AN ORDINANCE approving the preliminary plat of Churchill Estates, 4th Plat pursuant to the Unified Development Code creating sixty-three (63) single family residential lots on 22 ± acres.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The preliminary plat of Churchill Estates creating a sixty-three (63) lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved, as to a 22 ± acre tract more specifically described as follows:

Description: The 22 ± acres is legally described as a tract of land located in the NW 1/4 of Section 21, Township 50N, Range 31W, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the SW corner of NW 1/4; thence N 02 degrees, 33 minutes, 00 seconds E along the west line of said NW 1/4 and the east line of "Churchill Estates 1st Plat".  "Churchill Estates 2nd Plat", and "Churchill Estates 3rd Plat", all being subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri, a distance of 163.82 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing N 02 degrees, 33 minutes, 00 seconds E along said west line, a distance of 1,752.82 feet to the NE corner of said "Churchill Estates 3rd Plat"; thence S 87 degrees, 49 minutes, 00 seconds E, a distance of 551.91 feet; thence S 02 seconds, 33 minutes, 00 seconds W parallel with the west line of said NW 1/4, a distance of 1,756.60 feet; thence N 87 degrees, 25 minutes, 30 seconds W, a distance of 551.90 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

 

 

Section 2. The Jackson County Plan Commission, on September 15, 2005, reviewed the preliminary plat. The Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend APPROVAL to the County Legislature.

Section 3.  The Legislature, pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning, and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this preliminary plat, does adopt this Ordinance approving the preliminary plat of Churchill Estates, 4th Plat. 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
