IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $3,830.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug
Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney to execute a First
Addendum to Agreement with the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, relating to the County's providing
the City's local match to grants from the Missouri Department of Public Safety to fund the City's
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and related programs, to fund the City's Choices
Cooperative/Campus Law Enforcement Education Officer program at a cost not to exceed $3,830.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County, through its Prosecuting Attorney, and the City of Blue Springs, Missouri,
previously entered into a contract authorized by Ordinance 2393, relating to the County's providing
the City's local match to a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety to fund the City's
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and related programs, and the Choices
Cooperative/Campus Law Enforcement Education Officer program; and,
WHEREAS, the parties are mutually desirous of amending the original agreement, at an increased
cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following
appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

D.A.R.E. Program Grant Match $3,830
and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prosecuting Attorney be, and is hereby authorized to execute
a First Addendum to Agreement in a form substantially similar to that attached, with the City of Blue
Springs, Missouri; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is hereby
authorized to make all payments including final payment of the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the County
Executive.
