Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15752, dated January 17, 2006, the County awarded a twelve-month term and supply contract for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to Vance Brothers, Inc. of Kansas City, MO, under the terms and conditions of Bid No. BB2005100, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing now recommends a twelve-month extension of the contract with Vance Brothers, Inc. of Kansas City, MO, commencing January 18, 2007, and terminating January 17, 2008, under the terms and conditions of Bid No. BB2005100; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and extension, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
