Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center currently has a need for mobile radios to include software licenses, programming, and chargers, for daily use and operations; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Sheriff and the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a contract for the furnishing of radios for use by the Sheriff’s Office to Motorola Solutions, Inc., of Chicago, IL, under the terms and conditions of KC/RPC Contract No. 34733, an existing competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $305,509.00; and,
WHEREAS, an award under the existing government contract is recommended due to the significant discounts offered to larger entities; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer of funds within the 2026 County Improvement Fund is necessary to place such funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Sheriff and Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
