Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, at the request of the Parks and Recreation Department, has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-01-98 for the Longview Golf Course Cartpath Replacement, Phase II, Project No. 2372; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:

JLA Construction $121,064.00
Brookline, MO
Rose-Lane Construction $127,289.80
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the bid documents reserve the right to increase the quantity of materials in order to fully utilize funds available for this project, which would increase the actual contract price to $134,998.70; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a contract on Bid No. PW-01-98 in the actual amount of $134,998.70, be awarded to Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
