Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Public Works Department has surplus personal property, to wit a 1993 Ford Aerostar van, VIN#1FMCA11U0PZC12237, that has become excess property due to its damage in a motor vehicle accident; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus and recommends that he be authorized to transfer this vehicle to an insurance company in settlement of a damage claim; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of the above-described Ford Aerostar van, by way of transfer to American Family Insurance Group of Kansas City, MO, in settlement of an insurance claim, for a payment to the County in the amount of $2,758.50.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
