BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 60 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ mile west of Middleton Road on the south side of Colbern Road and south of the existing Windsor Subdivision and more specifically described:
A tract of land in the South 20 acres of the East half of the Southeast quarter of Section 26 and the North 40 acres of the East half of the Northeast quarter of Section 35, all in Township 48, Range 31, in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Southeast quarter; thence S 02°13'35"W 1977.32 feet along the East line of said Southeast quarter, to the True Point of Beginning, point is also the Southeast corner of Lot 7 of "Windsor Lots 1-14", a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri; thence continuing S 02°13'35"W 674.75 feet, to the Southeast corner of said Section 26; thence S 01°36'36"W 1320.34 feet, along the East line of said Northeast quarter of Section 35; thence N 87°53'05"W 1322.09 feet, to a point on the West line of said East half of the Northeast quarter of Section 35; thence N 01°40'23"E 1320.23 feet, thence N 02°09'13"E 666.11, along the West line of said East half of the Southeast quarter of Section 26, to the Southwest corner of Lot 8 of said "Windsor Lots 1-14"; thence S 88°15'49"E 1321.52 feet (Plat 1321.62 feet). along the South line of said "Windsor Lots 1-14", to the True Point of Beginning; containing 60.381 acres.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Windsor 2d Plat - Lots 15-28" creating a fourteen-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of George T. Ward (RZ-2000-217), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on November 16, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
