IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION congratulating Janice Tye upon her retirement from the Jackson County, Missouri Sheriff's Department and commending her for twenty-three years of service. Intro RESOLUTION # 12294, July 20, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dixie M. Flynn, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, on March 5, 1975, Janice Tye began her employment for the County as a deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department; and, WHEREAS, in 1986 Janice was promoted to sergeant, the position she holds upon her retirement; and, WHEREAS, Janice served as the first female deputy at the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and through the years has received numerous letters of commendation; and, WHEREAS, Janice has been an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and also worked in Youth Court; and, WHEREAS, Janice will be remembered by co-workers as a friend and dedicated worker, always willing to fill in wherever needed; and, WHEREAS, Janice deserves the highest of praise and recognition for her work, having admirably fulfilled her many responsibilities as a trustworthy and responsible employee of Jackson County; and, WHEREAS, Janice has been blessed with two children, Russell and Tammy, and two grandchildren, Tasha Lee Tye and Jesse Russell Tye; and, WHEREAS, admiration, respect, appreciation, and warm friendship go out to Janice for her twenty-three years of unparalleled service to Jackson County; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Janice Tye upon her retirement, and wishes her success in all future endeavors. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
