A RESOLUTION congratulating Joanne Snow upon her retirement after thirty years of consistently exceptional service with the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club.

Body
WHEREAS, Joanne Snow completed her 30th year with the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club on December 31, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, during her three decades of employment, the Royals won the 1985 World Championship, the 1980 American League Championship, and the American League Western Division Championship in 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1884; and,
WHEREAS, Joanne worked primarily with Herk Robinson during his tenures as Executive Vice President of Administration, Executive Vice President/General Manager, and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Robinson has stated, "Joanne was a tremendously loyal and competent associate for the Royals for many years. She was a tremendous part of the Royals first 30 years;" and,
WHEREAS, during the 1990's, Joanne was responsible for the tendering of all major league contracts and all assignment papers; and,
WHEREAS, she served as a liaison with Mr. and Mrs. Ewing Kauffman for many years and more recently with David Glass; and,
WHEREAS, Joanne and Damian, her husband of 43 years, have two sons, Christopher and Kerry, and one daughter, Kathy; and,
WHEREAS, admiration and respect go out to Joanne for her many years of unparalleled service to the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Joanne Snow upon her retirement and wishes her success in all future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
