RESOLUTION # 15330, January 3, 2005

 

INTRODUCED BY Bob Spence, County Legislator

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, Jackson County and the City of Independence have an agreement to apply County road and bridge funds that are due to the City of Independence, under the County Urban Road System (CURS) program to road and bridge projects within the City of general County interest and benefit; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City of Independence by its Resolution 5060, dated March 15, 2004,  amended its prioritization of its road and bridge projects by adding several locations as Independence CURS priorities; and,

 

WHEREAS, by Resolution 15005, dated May 3, 2004, the addition of R.D. Mize Road was approved as an addition to the County Urban Road System (CURS) priorities within the City of Independence by the Jackson County Legislature; and, 

 

WHEREAS, the addition of 39th Street and Noland Road to the County Urban Road System (CURS) priorities within the City of Independence were inadvertently left off of Resolution 15005, dated May 3, 2004; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works concurs with the addition of the new projects; therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby concurs with the Independence City Council in the adoption of 39th Street and Noland Road as new CURS priorities.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
