Body

WHEREAS, the County currently provides environmental services relating to food establishment inspections, on-site sewage disposal, and animal control services within the unincorporated area and for certain cities within the County; and,

 

WHEREAS, the cities of Greenwood, Lone Jack, and Sugar Creek, Missouri, have requested that the County provide said services within each city and the County agrees to provide said services for specified fees; and,

 

WHEREAS, such cooperative environmental services are in accordance with Missouri law; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County Cooperative Agreements with the cities of Greenwood, Lone Jack, and Sugar Creek , Missouri, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
